Avishay Novoplanski - Co-CEO, Chief Technology Officer - Avishay is the co-founder of Galileo and the inventor of Galileo’s technology. In addition to his role as co-manager of the company, Avishay’s main focus is in his contribution to the company’s research and development. Avishay is currently focusing on perfecting the VIPeR technology. Previously, he developed and produced a proof-concept model of the wheelchair based on the company’s technology. Avishay is an innovative thinker gifted with the ability to integrate creative ideas into practical applications. Avishay is an industrial design engineering graduate of the renowned Bezalel Academy, in Jerusalem. Avishay has won several prizes for creative designs both during his studies and in his professional work.

Ariel Cohen – Co-CEO- Ariel joined Galileo as the company’s seed investor, representing Bernardo Cohen Investments Ltd (”Bernardo”), and co-managed the company since 2006. Ariel’s was involved in venture capital activities in several start-ups in the 90’s. In 1998 Ariel established Bernardo as a family investment company that specializes in technology start-ups in early stages (pre-seed and seed). In 1999 Ariel initiated the founding of democratic school in his residential area, Hod-Hasharon, Israel. After two years of intense work, the school opened and in 2001-2002, Ariel served as the school principal for the first year. Currently, Ariel is the school’s treasurer and a member of the school’s managing committee. . Ariel has a BA in Mathematics and Computers from the Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Liran Raizer – VP Engineering & Operations -Liran joined Galileo in 2005 and is responsible for the company’s engineering and product development activities as well as the integration of new technologies with Galileo’s platform. Liran brings with him a breadth of experience in military development and engineering in various projects. He served on the steering committee and was manager of the development section of BlueBird Aero Systems, a company specializing in tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for military and civilian uses. Prior to this, he was systems engineer, designer, planner and mechanical developer of the project. In addition, Liran has experience in management, inspection and integration from his role at Elbit Systems, as well as diverse engineering experience in training and simulation systems for military uses, and 3D animation systems for military uses in BVR Systems.

Tomer Amit – VP Marketing & Business Development - Tomer joined Galileo in 2008 and is responsible for Galileo’s marketing and business development activities. Tomer brings with him more than a decade of management experience in technology focused companies. Prior to Galileo, Tomer was VP at Homeland Security Research Corp. (HSRC), where he was responsible for the sales & marketing of the company and for the business development of its breakthrough Passive Nuclear Detection technology. At HSRC, Tomer also co-founded with Bank Hapoalim a Homeland Security Mutual Fund raising nearly $50M in under 6 months. Prior to HSRC, Tomer worked at IBM Research where he created and implemented market entry strategies for emerging technologies. Tomer’s experience also includes years as a Principal and Project Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, leading multi-functional teams for Fortune 500 clients. Tomer holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Industrial Eng. from Lehigh University
